This weekend Franchise Magazine plans to launch a new printed zine titled "Dynasty" inspired by ESPN'S documentary "The Last Dance". The zine publication pays tribute to one of the most legendary Chicago Bulls team of the ’90s. Featured in the zine publication includes original artwork by artists of Franchise magazine. Artist Julian Duran is the man behind the cover of "Dynasty". Duran explains the cover design is inspired by a pamphlet he saw in a catholic mass. The cover includes Roman numerals which " added insight with the doc, comparable to religion, a cult of personality, everyone was a fan too…”as he explained on Instagram.
Several other artists such Andreas Pranoto, Darien Birks and Matt McCormick spent time spotlighting Dennis Rodman, a rebound talent that had style and swagger. Scottie Pippen who is regarded as one of the best on ball and perimeter defense a was represented in a psychedelic theme artwork. Artist Eduard Johnston’s creation was a tribute to the greatest of all time Michael Jordan and his six championship rings titled "Six God". The zine is available for $25 USD and can be purchased on Franchise's website. A portion of the zine sales will go towards a Chicago-based charity to support the ones affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
